El Epson EH-LS9000 is a laser projector 4K designed for high-end home theater. It combines 3LCD panels with 2.200 lumens, HDMI 2.1 for 4K at 120 Hz, and a motorized optical system with wide lens shift, offering flexible installation, a sharp image, and quiet operation. It supports HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG, has low latency for gaming, and a 20.000-hour laser source for long-term use with little maintenance.

Solid design and silent

Measuring 520 × 193 × 447 mm and weighing 12,7 kg, the EH-LS9000 is a stable, well-ventilated chassis, finished in black to blend into dedicated rooms. Noise is kept low: 22 dB in Eco mode (similar to a whisper) and 30 dB in Normal mode (close to a quiet PC). This sound discretion allows you to enjoy dialogue and music without distractions. The construction prioritizes rigidity, reducing vibrations and helping maintain clarity on large screens.

Flexible optics and accurate

Zoom and focus are also motorized and can be stored in 10 presets, convenient for switching between 16:9 and 2.35:1 with the touch of a button. Its 1,35–2,84:1 throw ratio covers common scenarios: for a 100” (~2,21 m wide), the distance can range from ~3,0 to ~6,3 m; for a 120” (~2,65 m), from ~3,6 to ~7,5 m. This makes it easy to install on a ceiling or shelf without compromising the framing.

4K image with 3LCD

4K UHD (3840 × 2160) resolution delivers fine detail in faces, textures, and text. 3LCD technology delivers 2.200 lumens of matched color and white brightness, resulting in vivid colors without sacrificing white. Plus, the lack of a color wheel prevents the “rainbow effect” some people experience with DLP projectors. In a light-controlled room, the combination of sharpness and natural color performs especially well on 100–150” screens.

High contrast and cinereous vultures

Its dynamic contrast ratio reaches 2.500.000:1, aided by laser light control. In practice, the depth of blacks depends on the room: the darker it is, the more noticeable the dynamic range is. In environments with some ambient light, it maintains a good "punch" thanks to the brightness, although blacks appear grayer, as is normal in projection. With cinema content in a dedicated room, light changes are precise and shadows retain detail.

HDR10+ good resolved

It supports HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG, covering compatible cinema, streaming, and broadcast sources. HDR10+ adds dynamic metadata (scene-by-scene adjustments), helping preserve detail in highlights and shadows. The 32-bit Epson ZX processor handles tone mapping and grading to prevent clipping and color banding. Dolby Vision is not supported; on those sources, playback is in HDR10, which performs very well with the right settings.

Fluid movement and sharpness

Frame interpolation smooths pans and sweeps, useful in sports and documentaries. In 24p cinema, it's best to use a low setting to avoid the "soap opera effect" and preserve the original intent. The Super Resolution feature enhances fine contours without exaggerating noise when used sparingly. Upscaling of HD content to 4K is clean, so TV shows and 1080p Blu-ray discs gain micro-detail without noticeable artifacts.

4K gaming at 120Hz

Thanks to HDMI 2.1 (40 Gbps), it supports 4K up to 120 Hz, ideal for current consoles and PCs. The input lag of around 19,4–22 ms provides a snappy response in shooters, driving and platformers. It is compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S; if the automatic low latency mode (ALLM) does not activate, simply force the Game mode. It does not offer 240 Hz, but at 120 Hz the movement is very stable and usable in compatible titles.
