Construction and materials
The H-60 R uses a reinforced, low-resonance MDF front baffle to help reduce unwanted vibrations and maintain sound clarity. Its rectangular shape makes it easy to align with other wall elements, and the magnetic front grille is slim and easy to attach or remove. The assembly measures 414 x 244 mm with a depth of 95 mm and weighs 3,1 kg—commensurate with a recessed speaker of this size. The wood fiber woofer provides rigidity and low mass, and the lightweight textile dome tweeter delivers detailed highs without harshness.

Outstanding Features Dali Phantom H-60 R
Unlimited acoustic
The stated frequency response is 51 to 25.000 Hz (±3 dB), with a crossover at 1.900 Hz between the woofer and tweeter, which distributes the bass/midrange and treble duties in a controlled manner. With 89 dB sensitivity and a maximum SPL of 107 dB, it achieves levels suitable for home living rooms without requiring extreme amplification. The midrange is clear and natural, the treble is detailed thanks to the textile dome, and the bass is partly dependent on the volume of the wall, thanks to its open-back design. Overall, it offers a wide soundstage and balanced sound, suitable for both music and movies.

Mounting front
The dogleg mounting system (pivoting brackets) allows the speaker to be secured from the front with an Allen key, without accessing the back of the partition. The brackets can be reversed to increase the grip on walls up to 70 mm thick. The recommended cutout is 390 × 220 mm, and the minimum mounting depth is 95 mm, so it's a good idea to check installations and obstacles before opening. This is a straightforward installation for those with experience with flush-mounted installations; otherwise, professional assistance will ensure a proper fit and seal.

Rear communication
The open-back design uses the wall cavity as part of the enclosure, which saves visible volume but forces the bass to depend on the available space. Proper perimeter sealing and a consistent cavity help achieve more uniform bass and prevent sound leakage into adjacent rooms. In demanding installations, a dedicated back box or cavity conditioning may be considered to stabilize the response. This approach is common for in-wall loudspeakers and allows for very discreet integration with good performance.

amplification and compatibility
With a nominal impedance of 6 ohms and a recommended power range of 30 to 150 W, the Dali Phantom H-60 R is compatible with most AV receivers y home amplifiers. The sensitivity of 89 dB makes it easy to achieve comfortable listening levels with a medium-power receiver; for example, an 80 W AV per channel will be sufficient in a medium-sized room. The internal crossover frequency at 1.900 Hz is optimized for a smooth transition between drivers, so it doesn't require external filters. It is suitable as a front, side, or rear channel in movie at home, or as a built-in stereo pair.

Vertical discreet
Its understated aesthetic and low-profile magnetic grille allow the speaker to be integrated without attracting attention, which is useful in living rooms and multipurpose rooms. When mounted in a wall, it frees up space and reduces interference with furniture, helping to maintain a stable stereo image. The rectangular format fits well next to screens and in front-facing home theater configurations. It's designed for medium-sized rooms, where it offers a balance between sound presence and minimal visual intrusion.

The crossover integrates a PTC (positive temperature coefficient) device that acts as a protection: in the event of overload, its resistance increases and limits the energy reaching the transducers. In practice, it works like a resettable fuse, helping to prevent damage from prolonged use at high volume or problematic signals. Combined with the reinforced low-resonance front baffle, this contributes to more stable playback and a longer lifespan. It's a discreet measure that provides safety without affecting daily use.
