If your smartphone or tablet supports the aptX enhanced audio codec, the BT100 does too. AptX, carried by more and more mobile devices as well as Apple MacBooks and desktop computers, allows audio to be transmitted wirelessly at significantly higher quality than with standard Bluetooth. You'll instantly notice a wider dynamic range, deeper bass and clearer sound.
The standard Bluetooth codec (SBC) has variable performance and its weaknesses are very apparent to music lovers including a reduction in clarity, muddiness or dullness in string content.
On the contrary, the aptX codec has fixed standard features to ensure consistently excellent quality when music data is transmitted wirelessly via Bluetooth. It offers almost CD quality and you'll instantly experience greater dynamics and infinitely more detail of your favorite music.

It works well but it is difficult to understand why they have not included Bluetooth in the new CXN, when the amplifiers do have it.
